Nevoga Plexus Continuity System
Capital Construction Products introduce PLEXUS®, a CARES approved continuity strip that is available off the shelf for delivery to your site.
PLEXUS® is a prefabricated rebar continuity system for reinforced concrete construction. PLEXUS® provides a simple and cost effective method of reinforcement continuity across concrete joints.
The PLEXUS® consist of pre-bent reinforcement bars and casing, manufactured from galvanised steel, witha plastic cover for lower weight, easierhandling and reduced risk of injury.
How Plexus Is Installed
Step One
- Plexus® units are nailed into position on the formwork prior to pouring concrete, with the anchors facing away from the shuttering.
Step Two
- When the concrete has been poured & cured and the form formwork has been struck, the PVC lid of the Plexus® unti should be visible on the surface of the concrete. Remove the plastic casing to reveal the reinforcement
Step Three
- A Plexus ® straightening tool should be used to straigten the reinforcement bars.
Step Four
- The casing remains embedded in the wall, providing a rebate and key for the subsequent pour of the adjoining member.
